I just bought my VFC AK74N and i am getting ready for an upgrade for OP IRENE next month.
I just ordered a Guarder Bore up kit (for AK47/47s), SP110 spring and guarder BB spring guide. Anyone here actually opened a VFC V3 gearbox? Your inputs with how tough the gears are will be appreciated. Thanks!

The VFC Gears can handle an M120 or PDI190 spring. I got a complete set of vfc gearbox, almost the same as TM or TM clone V3 GB except that width length short a few mm from the other( TM or TM Clone). I did try to used it to non-VFC receiver but still give me a headache to find a solution of airleak between the front end of GB and hop up chamber. If the inner barrel(and hop) push to GB still return to original location when magz inserted. Vice versa with the gearbox, returning the grip push back the GB. VFC GB is for VFC receiver only. Nevertheless inside the GB is almost 100% TM Compatible.

Thanks for the input komrad. I'm actually working as an airsmith at AAATacticalairsoft.com here in the U.S.
I have been a fan of M series and this is the first time of me owning an AK. St.Elmo showed me the forums and it helped me a lot upon deciding which Ak i would get. I am opening this as soon as my parts comes in. I will also post details here as well. As of now the is stock and shooting at 310 to 320fps range (.20s). I will up it a bit to push at least 410fps for the event. Fps limit for the event is 366fps with .25s. And only .25s bbs are used.

Yes komrad. 366fps limit for aegs with .25s. Caution limit is 376fps.
Just opened my Ak today. Didn't do much, just sealed the cylinder and hop up and a used systema m120 spring. Raised the fps from 310 to 394. Will take pics of the internals when i open her up again.
