Kwento nyo naman sakin kung paano nagsimula itong website na ito? Ok dito, konti lang, magkakakilala mga tao at clean yun discussi0ns. Hope it stays that way. A welcome relief from the other sites. I have stopped visiting the 2nd site since early this year, home site ko yun una naman, the 3rd is ok pero masyado tahimik. .. This one is just right. Not too crowded, not to quite. Good job to the admin. Hopefully we can up the level of AK lovers in this country with more info on communist block weapons, gears and equipments para di na tyo magmukhang mga rebelde, terrorista. t won't hurt to be an AK geardo!

Story behind this website:
Am an avid fan of the AK47 Assault Rifle, but not totally aware where it came from except what i got from a Kalashnikov Airsoft Forum, the Red-Alliance forum. It's not just for AK teams although it has member teams from around the world. Team Cougar is the only member team from the Philippines.

Many Filipino airsofter from other Philippine teams surf that forum, although not actively. Komrad Yarik is one of them and he came to me with the proposal for a Filipino Kalashnikov forum open to all types of pinoy AK fans, whether purist, hybridist, or whatever -- isang Forum na madaling maintindihan ng isang "ersopter".

Last year, Kom Yarik got the website templates ready for upload and tested them but had some problems with the host server. So we decided to hold back the launching. During the waiting period the Test forum expired because of no activity log.

Celebrities behind this Forum:
Yarik met komrad Ginson, who was then somewhere near near the Middle East region, through the net. Sometime last April, i think, he discussed the AK Forum project with him although Komrad Ginson is not an AK fanatic. He also PMed komrad zenTaurus in another airsoft forum if he can help with this project. The encouragement of these two airsofters boosted the confidence of Kom Yarik to launch the final templates.

Yarik's next problem was how to put substance in the forum. Komrad Ginson recommended getting the support of Team Cougar. Gruppo Kalag also supported Yarik's dream of a Filipino AK forum. But we do not discriminate against foreigners -- newbkiller, an American airsofter who is also a member of Arnies and Red Alliance, is one example of a non-Filipino member of filAK airsoft.

Yarik recommended komrad zenTaurus as his co-admin. He also got Komrad Alencore Rambo, Komrad drunkpunk and Komrad alakdan for Moderators.

So i guess it would only be proper to say that komrad Yarik, komrad Ginson and komrad zenTaurus are the true founders of the filAK airsoft forum. I only retain admin rights because the bottomline is I have to answer for the state of the forum to the forum hosts.

having expressed my enthusiasm on what I just read, I would like to say something as well.
The development of this forum is a far cry from the other forums. Here, most have one thing in common - The passion for the Автомат Калашникова.
I am a member of several forums in the Philippines as well as in other countries, most if not all would always have debates that would end up differently because of different personalities and opinions. But here...... all have one opinion - the Автомат Калашникова is one masterpiece

myself, i got here entirely by serendipity. then was seduced by the enthusiasm of komrad Yarik, and finally captured by the esprit of the Komrads.
