I been wondering how to make my own hop up nub. I am tired of paying almost $10 for a piece of small rubber.
Just wondering does anybody know how to make SCS or H nub. Is there any guides that tell you how to do it out there? Thanks Komrades |

Thanks zenTaurus! That was interesting. I did not know you can Improve the nub by just cut it in half. At first I thought the better the fit, the more even amount of pressure on the BB.

Yea, I can not read what you just wrote, but its ok. I saw pic of komrad Allencore Rambo making his own version of SCS nub. Its awesome, it must be hard.
I am getting too obsessed with my first airsoft gun (cm048m). I am trying to do every mod that is possible to save some money. Its fun, but its taking away my time. |

komrad, DIY Airsealed nozzle, teflon mod, and a CA tight barrel is all you need
Ingat lang, I experienced a defect with my Stock hop-up arm on my CM.048, tabingi siya. inayos ko nalang with a dremel and a small round bit. |

Hey zenTaurus
I added a prommy barrel, sys bucking, and home made nub (cut a cylindrical bamboo stick to about half the size of the stock rubber nub), it worked out amazing. It gave me more range, accuracy, and grouping. I wish I have the SCS nub to test with my home made nub. |

komrad 's in terms of the using of a hop up rubber Like the Mad bull blue ,are you able to use a 60 degree or 45 degree rubber that has the bump on the inside , does it work also the SCS or copy Or clone

great, komrad enjoi! been trying out some plastics and silicon sealant mixtures but completely forgot about bamboo.
that's also called the nub, if i got you correctly, komrad M76. so yes, if so -- the SCS, just like the H and V nubs, can be made to work with that bump. pretty much a trial and error thing, though cos the brand and the hop mechanism can influence consistent nub operation.

thanks comrade for the info
I will be visiting a friend in the near future and we will play with some designs to see the results I am looking to do a different type of nubbin that would replace the current arm and nubbin config.

Did anybody try any experiments that you have mentioned? How did it go?
For me, I changed my nub to the stock one and it worked really well. What I did was I sanded the nub and nub holder to make everything even, then glued it on. I use a systama bucking. Also, I am using the .28g bb and it works beautifully. I can hit a 12oz water bottle at about 120ft pretty accurately. |

yeah sticking that rubber nub on the holder is a good technique aside no worry of it getting lost when you remove the barrel on the hop up assembly.
lately i'm doing some very simple mods for the scs and my ahne hehe...just adding more cushion since scs or ahne are basically solid nubs so some padding on top would help do that that's why lately i make my solid nubs more smaller so there's room for padding. also the nub included when you buy a madbull hop rubber needs some tweaks atleast for me it does to make it stay in place better. |
