The AHNE - Alencore Hop Nub Enhancement

Inspired by The SCS of komrad Shredder as well the DIY version of komrad Malloski
so here's mine... a better mouse trap? well we'll see hehe adik!

The reason...
The SCS was a little longer or wider depending how you look at it on my stock JG ak hop up assy.
Just a rough 0.5 mm wider. I didn't want to trim the SCS coz it fits perfect on my Element
metal ak47 hop assy so I had no choice but make 1 in a hurry since I'll be playing a shortened
JG dragunov at God Save The Queen 2 and I want the best grouping I can get using a stock barrel.

I kinda simplified the design of the SCS or based on what I've read about other nub designs so mine
is more like an X-cushion solid nub type.


The AHNE (on top is The Great SCS)......you may call it also as haneh?...oh han ko....oh haneh ko...ang kinis mo tlga! hahahhaa!!!













So how the heck I did it well..
Pics speaks for themselves. All you need is a good eye and a steady hand
while carving the material little by little until you get the shape you want.
A good drill is a must. simply cut off the head of the screw and
attached it to my drill which acts like a table lathe hehe and started shaping it down using tools I bought at
nearby bangketas hehe...cheap tools yet it helped a lot to create small things that make one hell of a difference to our aeg's. From sector chips, nozzle mods, and more internal and external mods.










Test results!!!
.....It's as good as the Great SCS using it on a ak length stock barrel...and now .2 or even .25 all have the best grouping and range this little mod can give. It's a one piece material now so it will be sturdy as well.
Halos maubos ko nga mga .2 ko sa kaka-test sarap naman kasi tignan yung groupings nila LOL!

So that's it...my little AHNE....hahahha!!! adik!!!

salamat, mastah. salamat din for tickling my few brain cells -- meron na yata akong nakitang material na mas madaling kikilin. don't think kaya ko ung three-point variation nyan kung steel ang base mat so try ko aluminum

I just made 3 more of these all hand made as showned above hehe so anyone who wants to try AHNE, it's available well atleast 3 are and with free installation pa hehe just visit me at sm southmall las pinas wed-sun.

Just take an extra careful setting the hop.

The material use is hard metal or plastic,

Over-setting the hop can cause damage of hop mech.
Unlike the stock nub is made of rubber that can absorb the impact.

Set hop to zero then slowly adjust to achieved right setting...

back OT: trying out a soft aluminum material for the zVar. and something else that may make the bucking conform better to the revised AHNE shape. nihonjin no aydeya kara

Well...stock nub or not can damage the mech if improperly set.

Imagine this when hop set to maximum...
Lalo na sa AK natin dahil slider ang adjuster ng hop...

it makes sense kaya nilalim ko tlga yung uka nya sa gitna para mas may give pag dumaan yung rubber.

in english...
it makes sense reason i made the curve in the middle more deeper so once a bb passes through there's more give and hopefully the rubber will last longer.

there's one other mod i made this time just cutting the stock rubber nub in the middle while glued to the mount haven't tested if it works.

another possibility: ung mga kakalat na discarded nylon bushings, puede kaya?

may butas sa gitna like the plastic tubes malloski used. konting putol, pasok nang yoke na metal galing sa blind rivets -- parang ung ginagamit ng mga behong nagtitinda ng puto at ibang kakanin?

either use the end portions na naka baon sa mek shell or putulan ung end na un at pagdikitin nang talikuran ung dalawang bushing? shape larger diameter to fit the nub space?

if hans can use a bushing as a sector chip, why not two plastic bushings as an H nub?
