and welcome to filAKas, komrad milgeek filakairsoft/hugs.gif

I got another materials and designed for lens protector but I like the one used by komrad milgeek filakairsoft/aprub.gif

I'll post mine if I got time happy.gif

agree, but lexan, AFAIK, especially the thinner ones, are not readily available here?

alakdan.net [aka 9th]- 05-10-2009
I think we can use the one that with the goggle, the spare or the unused extra glass.

zenTaurus- 05-11-2009
yup. so far, those are the only lexan mats i've seen locally.

Very nice job! smile.gif

I wouldn't have thought of doing it that way. - I hear what you guys are saying about the Lexan, I was as surprised as anyone to find out that it was easy to get here in the UK!

But I guess any sheet polycarb plastic would do. Though if its very thin I would test it.

Good work Comrade alakdan!

The good old Soviet spirit of make do and mend! smile.gif

Bimey - you're brave alakdan filakairsoft/clap.gif

I wouldn't dare open stuff up like that - wouldn't know where to start!

I did wonder about that - the increments the Kobra has are not that great....So hopefully someone knows, it would be useful.

Curiosity and desperate move to check if I can extend the elevation komrad Milgeek happy.gif

Disassembly of the main parts is easy,

Just remove all the screw with the "Red and Green Arrow" except the one with the "Yellow Arrow",
Note, do not unscrew the power lever switch, leave it.
But if you don't, note the orientation of the shafting and the ball metal(and spring)

A clear evidence of Alu parts laugh.gif

Too tiny wiring, careful of this, they don't have color coding dry.gif

Ok, I open it back again george.gif

Trying to figure-out to extend the Elevation.

Experiment 1:

I put wire and neoprene to tilt the optic, a little success but still I can't zero the dot.

Experiment 2:

Instead the optic, other way is to tilt the lens but more scary scratching the lens wacko.gif
This is much better and I got now a wider adjustment for elevation.

Other Option:
Adjusting the rails(side mount),
5 AK with rails?
errr....I don't have time for this mod.

I'll add more pics later.

A little effect and as I said previously, zeroing the sight still fail.

For Last and final experiment,
Tilting the lens.
Unlocking the lens

Cover the lens both side using a paper to prevent scratches.
And take note which side is front.
