The 3rd series of the airsoft scout Sniper Challenge for the hardcore lone operative or a two-man sniper team was held last January 11 in the mountains of Busay Cebu City.
Components of the Sniper Challenge
Inspired from scout sniper school training manuals, the Airsoft Sniper Challenge covers the basic skill components of being an actual scout sniper operative tailored specifically for the airsoft sniper enthusiasts.
OAC started this event series in 2007 to cater to the hardcore wannabe airsoft snipers and everytime we are raising the bar. The first two challenges were for individual snipers. This year participants joined either as an individual or as a two-man team. This event is both a crush course on being an airsoft scout/sniper as well as skills competition. Whereas, the whole challenge is 80% scouting skills and 20% shooting skills.
The Challenge was divided into different categories (tactical exercises) for individual snipers to test their proficiency in each skill. The first individual exercises (intel gathering, navigation, etc...)will prepare the snipers on what to conduct when they eventually move on to the last exercise, the “ Mission ”.
Absolutely airsoft AEGs or GAS sniper rifles only.
Equipment needed per sniper/team
Hydration system or water canteen
Sniper rifle with scope (primary weapon)
Secondary weapon EAG/Gas of 450 fps only
Binocular or spotting scope
Compass
Camouflage or Ghillie suite
watch
Commercial or sport version Radio
