Bumili po ako ng mga STAR AK midcaps para magamit sa isang event. Nung first fitting, di ko maipasok ng husto sa magwell, and hindi ma-lock yung mag catch. Alam ko yung rubber pads na pre-installed sa loob ng magwell ng mga G&G AKs, at sa totoo lang po, ayokong galawin yung baril mismo. So ginawa ko po yung mag modification na nakita ko dito, yung shaving ng latch sa magazine, para kumagad yung mag lock. Eventually, kumasya yung mga mags ko, no wobble, hindi nahuhulog unless i-release ko.

Come game day, the mags failed horribly. Everytime I squeezed the trigger on full auto, only 3-4 rounds would go, after that, only empty air comes out of the barrel . Ok, so nag-reload ako, took another mag, slapped it tight, same thing happened.

Nung na-hit ako, I went back to the neutral zone, checked the mags. Wala akong makitang problema. Once I stepped in though, I test fired it first, ganun ulit, 4 rounds lang lumabas. What I noticed, however, is that when i pressed the mag a bit towards me, gumana na siya, although may moments na wala pa ring lumalabas na round.

So yan po yung kwento ko Ate Charo.. I mean, mga Komrads . Any information, or suggestions would be appreciated. Also, kung meron man kayong ma-suggest na brand of mid-cap mags for my gun, I'm all ears. Right now, baka maka-score ako ng mga TM midcaps, so hopefully maging mas ok sila.

BTW, may nakausap akong player sa event, sabi niya baka kulang daw sa lubing, so yun ang ginawa ko kahapon. I sprayed some silicon lube in the mags para sa springs, then I left them standing for 24 hours. I haven't tested them yet though.

lagyan mo lang ng steel epoxy konti ang tinanggalan mo na part then after drying porma mo lang uli using metal file komrad.

Wala lang akong time i-try ulit this week, medyo busy kasi, kaya sa sabado ko siguro susubukan ulit. Sana nga hindi ko nasobrahan yung shaving ko.

Well, pag hinahawakan ko yung mag and push ko papunta sa akin, nag-feed siya, pero pag full-auto hindi all the time; may mga shots na wala pa ring lumalabas.

Steel epoxy? Corrosive sa plastic yun di ba? Baka hindi pwede, kasi plastic lang yung mga midcap mag ko. Pero kung hindi, yun ang next kong gagawin.

BTW, newbie question lang, yung BB stopper, yun yung parang maliit na slanted latch dun sa taas ng mag di ba? Yun yung pag na-press, i-eject nya lahat ng contents ng magazine?

Komrad Hans, if by setup you mean mods sa baril, wala pa akong ginagalaw sa gamit ko. Fresh out of the box, ginamit ko siya sa event. Although nung first outing ko that day, naka-lipoly ako (wala kasing karga yung battery gagamitin ko sana ); may nagsabi na baka yun ang dahilan. Pero, nung nag-swap ako ng battery, 9.6v 1600 NiMH ang ginamit ko. Still, same result.

Yun yung isang maling ginawa ko siguro; dapat naging mas meticulous ako sa testing ng baril tsaka sa shaving ng mags ko.

Hmm, ok subukan ko rin ito.

AH, ok hehe! Di ko alam meron palang ganyan, hindi kasi ako mahilig dumayo sa mga hardware store.

steel epoxy, steel-filled epoxy, plastic steel epoxy -- pre preho lang, AFAIK. diprent labels but same banana. should know cos i've used them all and steel epoxy is not corrosive sa plastic. to verify, look at the small print on the label.

and tingin ko rin either ung bb stopper or ung alignment ng mag feed hole sa hop chamber feed channel.

there are three things (in general) that will determine how the mag aligns properly with the feed channel:

1. the rear mag lip that catches on the release lever on the trigger guard.
2. the forward mag lip that catches on a thingy in the lower front part of the receiver.
3. the spring pushing on the bb stopper. related d2 is pag maluwag ang lapat ng pakpak ng hopup chamber sa tab sa receiver.

pag misaligned (or na wiwindang ung alignment during fire operation), the problem becomes more prominent at auto dahil mas cyclic ang vibration. mas susceptible ang Kalash, VFC, Guarder at Ino variants dahil wala silang plate in the receiver na sumasapo sa tuktok ng mag.

mas ok ang TM-compatibles in this regard. problema is alloy insert lang ung forward mag catch in the receiver. so gumagalaw sya at puedeng sumama ang posisyon during disassembly. puede ring mawala.

eniweys, tsek out that stopper. shaving it, or rebuilding it with epoxy, is usually the easiest and most convenient fix.

OK konting update lang mga komrads.

After letting my mags take the lubing I applied last weekend, I testfired them this morning. I loaded one mag full of BBs, used my 9.6v battery, snapped the mag in place snug and tight, and I squeezed the trigger.

Still only 3 rounds would come out, after which, dry air. I stopped, removed the mag, slapped it back in. Same deal.

So the next step I will take: do something about the BB stopper. Iniisip ko, baka nga hindi naglalapat ng husto yun tsaka yung tube papunta sa hopup, kaya ang gagawin ko lagyan ko ng layer of epoxy yung stopper mismo. Tapos, pag natuyo i-smoothen ko w/ a dremel tool, or kikil. Hopefully maayos na ito, may event kaming pupuntahan in 2-weeks time. Pag di pa rin madale, ewan ko na lang.

Anyways, if worse comes to worst, I might try to find some replacement mags. Meron ba kayong suggestions komrads? I'm particularly looking at midcaps.

Hmm, yung sa baril ko naman, may goma nakadikit sa loob ng magwell, dun nakalapat yung magazine top pag naka-pasok siya. Sabi daw nila, kaya nilagay ng G&G yun para daw ma-prevent yung wobble. Pero, dahil sa goma na yun, napalayo yung bb stopper sa labi ng hopup. Medyo crude, pero sinubukan kong sukatin, kaya yun ang nakita ko. Yun ginagawa ng ibang owners, tinatanggal nila yung goma na yun, pero ayoko namang galawin yun kasi.

Anyways, update ko na lang kayo ulit mga komrads kung ano na mangyayari sa mga mags ko.

Anyways, eto na. Etong mga Star mags, plastic lang kasi, kaya yung dissambly lang nito, kailangan i-turn yung notch sa ibabaw ng mag, on the same side as where the BBs are fed. Yung notch na iyun, dun naka-pasok yung spring na nag-push sa mga loaded BBs papunta sa baril. After removing the spring, kinikil ko yung BB stopper, konting-konti lang muna, baka kasi magkamali ako,di na siya gumana. After that was done, re-assembled the mag, loaded it, tapos test fire.

So, just repeated the same process sa lahat ng mags ko, and all of them fed pretty well. Ang sablay lang, hindi nag-feed yung last 4 BBs, so pag-change mag, laglag sila. Other than that, 100% ayos yung pasok ng rounds sa hopup, no misfeeds, no dry firing. Problem solved!

isa lng masasabi ko maselan talaga ang GnG AK104 and 103 sa mag coz of the rubber dun sa magwell believe me I have both GnG 103 and 104 yan din problema ko yung sakin naman CA mag nasira ko yung lip ng mag pinilt ko kasi hehehehehehe yung marui mag tightly fit cya sa 103 and 104 no misfeed, no problem whatsoever. my solution use only GnG and marui mag for GnG AKs
