ingat sa pag adjust, kom rampage! make only very small adjustments -- even .25mm can make a very big difference. filakairsoft/rifle.gif

shakedown, p 3. dry.gif

at gaya nga ng sinabi ni kom hans sa thread sa kabilang board, tsek mo rin vertical at horizontal alignment ng bucking. same things na dapat ingatan -- konti konti lang adjust ng rubber.

koms. i dont know where to put this but i just would like to ask how would you know that the hand guard is real wood or plastic with cyma aks74u?? is there a tag on the box that says "real wood"?? tnx

zenTaurus- 02-25-2008
on the cyma? not on the boxes that i have seen dry.gif

arcteryx- 02-25-2008
tnx kom... so how would you know that the hand guard is plastic or wood on cyma aks74u???

zenTaurus- 02-26-2008
pag sarado pa ang kahon? really cannot say. ung sumunod na labas ng cyma which were supposed to be wood ay may ritrato. could be wrong though so para mas sigurado, pm mo si kom hans -- mas marami sila ni kom TuK$ na nahahawakang stocks.

Got my cyma aks74u wood version.. very nice... medyo masikip ang batt compartment.. still thinking on wat battery to upgrade later....

anyways... overall quality is nice except that it has missfeeds on single shots... first shot ay maganda talaga, second shot is either missfeed or the bb's just drop... on full auto okay naman... probably gears and bushings are not properly tuned.. ill open the gearbox after the weekend... hehhehehe

hope i will be satisfied with its performance during the weekends game...

cheers!!!!!!!

laughingstorm- 02-29-2008
congrats komrad break in mo lang muna baka kelngan lang umubos ka muna ng ilang magazines hehe

vityaz- 03-02-2008
agree. never encountered any feeding problems on the 035 plastic.

arcteryx- 03-05-2008
during the weekends game, i had some problems with misfeeds. so today i opened the gearbox and noted quite some interesting finds:

Please bear with me coz this is my first ak... hehehhehe

1. spring is silver in color
2. over greased gears
3. piston body has already some nips in the teeth
4. gearbox is not well shimmed and aligned. you can hear rattling sounds of the gears as i tried to shake the GB from side to side.

so after tuning it up: properly shimmed and greased i tested it again to see if it still misfeeds. unfortunately it still does. so i checked the hop chamber, no problems there. then i checked the magazine. i found out that the mag release has to be pulled back in order for the mag to properly fit and prevent it from moving. Maybe i got lemons but it didn't quite solve the problem.

Then i went back to the alignment of the hop unit and the gearbox found out that there is a small misalignment of the body that when the handguard is moved, misfeeds do occur. so i had to tightly screw the front assembly in place and see to it that there is no extra movement that may lead to misalignment of the GB and the front assembly.. after doing such, there is still times when misfeeds occur. About 90% of the problem has been corrected. but im still not satisfied. so probably tomorrow ill try another mag and test it my stock magazine has a bit of problem... hehehhe smile.gif laugh.gif

when you say nips komrad, is it because of wear and tear or just plain nips as a factory defect? It may be that the gun you bought was not brand new.. O.O

and does the magazine lock on the gun? meaning when the magazine is in the gun can you pull it out even w/o releasing the mag lock? if yes then you need to shave the mag lock a little bit to fit..

But this is the first time i've heard misfeed problems on an aksu. Try cleaning the inner barrel, sometimes its overgreased.

arcteryx- 03-05-2008
gun was bought brand new.. i guess its due to wear and tear on the piston after the weekends game.

yup. you can pull out the mag when attached with out releasing the lock. when i pulled back the mag lock, the mag will now fit and can't be released anymore without unlocking it. ill try to borrow another cyma mag and see if problem still arises. but if so, then ill try your suggestion komrad...

yup, barrel was cleaned and still have misfeeds...
