Nice going ,pic's are very clear and give a good idea overall . The wood is a bit on the red side for me ,but overall a damn nice aeg all round, I think I will weather it the same as my CM042s.

taonggubat why on earth would you want to smell the wood? that sounds a bit kinky wink.gif

vityaz- 10-21-2008
aren't we all? even if only a little bit rolleyes.gif

but also naturalists tongue.gif

wood shavings, leaves, lemon and apple peelings -- they all smell nice to me happy.gif

Alencore Rambo- 10-21-2008
hehe yeah the smell of the wood stocks are quite strong may be due to the varnish used hehe but that's ok it means it's 100% real wood.
though i'm no wood expert but seems the wood ain't fully dried up yet reason why there's sideways wobble on the butt stock again.

komrads

i found an something on airsoft-news.eu

its about dboys/kalash AK's.. it said that new batches are fitted with 7mm bearing bushings, piston head with bearing and spring guide with bearing.. the new steel/wood ak74su comes with these

to komrad alencore.. meron na ba nito ang rk06? curious lang heheh

yzzid- 10-21-2008

ala pa komrad bale same internals pa rin like the ones on the rk-03 review.

pero ganda fit ng mga techpro 7mm bushing na parang my oil canals sa luob ng butas nila hehe.

in english....

same internals as shown on the rk-03 review.
techpro 7mm solid bushing with oil canals fits really well yet tight enough.

Great review Kommie,
Am waiting for the Follow to it, hehehe..you mentioned something about ISSUEs on or about it? Galing talaga!

yeah the issue for a quick response is concerning when rewiring it for the back side. Yes, this rk-06 still places the battery inside the upper portion of receiver which I really dislike.

Re-wiring it was quite laborious since I had to do some shaving so wires won't get squeeze.

thankfully the fixed stock had enough space to accommodate bigger lipoly batts. I've yet to check if my 9.6 volts sub-c would still fit.

Will post the pros and cons soon hehe...

This RK-06 btw never had a chance to enjoy it's stock form.
The day it was bought the owner already bought upgrade parts
for it along that SP170 spring which took me an hour to install hehe.
More details about that soon.

taonggubat- 10-23-2008
wooah.. so major downside is the wiring, which can be fixed anyway heheh

BTW: can you compare its internals with RK02 and RK03, specially the gear?
my RK02 gear has a different brand than the RK03 gears, tappet plate was black while RK03 has white color tappet plate.. hehe

ouch, sp170 spring setup...!!!

Alencore Rambo- 10-23-2008
yeah the wiring got complicated since it is a must to add a relay first or the switch assembly won't last a day on that spring and battery combo. yet it's doable.

same stock internals basically to any rk-02 or rk-03...can't remember if the tappet plate is black though. the stock hop rubber was really bad though.

well can't say anything more for the stock parts since the owner forgot to bring them so i can't re-check them and show them to yah.

Stock parts left are....
- gearbox.......so far so good
- motor
- tappet plate
- type 0 cylinder
- ARL .......looks really good and sturdy
- hop assy
- virgin switch assembly hehe totally smooth and clean and will stay that way tnx to more reliable RELAYS!
fired almost 100 semis during initial test and it didn't falter using a 2200 mah 20 c lipoly. i could have installed the teslacoil mf-ab mosfet system of komrad 30ne but the owner wasn't in the mood to order or wait for it since he want's me to work on it asap and installing the relay was the first thing I did.

will post the upgrade parts soon.......plz don't ask what's the current fps LOL!

Alencore Rambo- 10-24-2008
Here are some technical pics.

Butt plate has some opening really don't know for what is that for though.

Sorry my sub-c batts won't fit unless some major modding is done on the
shoulder butt. Lipoly batteries fits well enough.

Now the stamp metal receiver and the part that needed shaving so the
wires for the batteries would easily pass through it without getting crampled.
Also the mag catch needed some shaving on the top part so other mags like from JG or cyma
or CA would fit and locks properly.

Finally the glorious relay and it's wiring...without it the trigger switch contacts could have been fried
already after testing the aeg for almost 2 mags now in semi most of the time.
Using really good quality low resistance 18-16 awg wires here.

Current set-up...
- sp170
- madbull tight barrel, 509mm, 6.03 id
- systema metal piston head with bearing
- src spring guide with bearing
- metal cylinder head double oring (forgot the brand)
- CA "m4" air sealed nozzle
- Deep Fire half metal tooth piston body
- Guarder ITU gears
- Techpro 7mm metal bushing with oil canals
- toyota horn relay
- madbull hop rubber with shark fishbone hop nub
- dean's plugs
- premium power 2200mah 20c lipoly
- ARS sorbo pads

ROF........8-10 rps
FPS.........sorry owner of this rk-06 doesn't want the fps to be known publicly hehe.

PROS AND CONS...

Pros...
- very solid gun inspite some butt stock wobble once fixed it's very solid over all.
- really good wood texture atleast this one.
- stock gb as expected atleast for me is tough enough and can handle a sp170 spring along some other aids of course.
- very strong stock motor
- really good stock arl
- m16 length stock barrel perfectly match with a type 0 cylinder
- really good hop to nozzle alignment
- inspite disliking the stock wiring the wires used are good enought though
- stock gb parts are good up to sp130 spring like gears, piston body, spring guide etc.
- awesome stamp metal reciever
- spacious enough butt stock for bigger lipoly batts
- as you can see it's already a good platform for any mega hi fps sniping ak74 coolness hehe

Cons...
- some wobble on the fixed shldr stock
- not yet wired for people who prefer using the stock shldr stock to place their bigger batts
- quite heavy already
- mag catch need modding to accomodate other brands of ak mags

Well that's it....don't know if I covered everything already so if there are any questions just post it hehe.

Tnx for viewing!!!

wow ganda nyan Papa Jojo!!! wish i could atleast get that buttstock add on hehe.

zenTaurus- 10-25-2008
opening: in RS, for cleaning tools?

7 mm oil channel bushings: some peeps say you should be extra careful about them in dusty environments. gathers dust and bits of whatever. better the normal bushings.

salamatsky for the abundance of useful info. but then, that's just normal for doksie, no? biggrin.gif

Alencore Rambo- 10-25-2008
I see so clone tlga nila yung RS ak's. TNx for the info Papa Zen.

hehe sana pati yung rs dragunov clone na rin hehe.

maporms- 11-16-2008
@ Komrad Alencore - bro I've added the rk06 as one of the choices for my nxt ak. plan ko is 450fps lang. Kung ito kukunin ko, can you be the one to smith this since mukhang na master mo na? would want the wires rewired for a mini lipo/mini subc batt to fit in the stock. as well as the relay setup.
