Im currently using 8.4 Shuangbao 1500 mAh NiCD (large plug) for my Spetz. I decided to upgrade my battery to (DIY) 9.6v 2200 mAh NiMh (small plug). I made an adapter (Large female > Small male) para I can switch batteries anytime by just removing the adapter. Problem is ayaw nya pumutok ng full-auto, pag naka- connect sa fuse assembly. Another thing, umiinit yung maliit na Fusebox. Pag nag bypass ako sa fuse assembly & directly connect the battery - OK naman.
Did I miss anything?!?
Questions:
1. What are the possible risks involved if I completely remove fuse assembly & just make an extension? 2. Should I remove the adapter & make a new fuse assembly for the new battery? Kasi parang hassle kung magpapalit ako ng fuse assembly + battery during the game (just in case mag lowbat ako bigla)
Although kaya i crank ng 8.4v na battery yung spring- I wanted to have a faster ROF.
My upgrades for now: Systema Metal SpringGuide w/ bearing Systema Piston head w/ bearing Systema Metal bushing & shims Oversized O ring SP120 Spring
Take off the fuse. Make sure your wires are in perfect condition.

Thanks Komrad!
Wala ba akong future issues just in-case tanggalin ko yung fuse? Like burning the motor?
or blowing up the battery in the butt?!?
ayoko pumanaw sa gamesite

Well, there's no cases na nicad/nimh battery exploded dahil sa short circuit sa AK. But if you hesitant to take out the fuse, just make sure you have a 100% good fuse holder or solder it directly. Or install a Polyfuse.

Problem with extra connection is resistance and this means power loss sa battery.. now kung san umiinit dun ang power loss..

I followed Komrad Moky's advise to just remove the fuse... So, what I did is just made a straight connection.
Tested the gun a few times & checked the wirings for signs of heat or burnt smell... OK naman - my Spetz is ready for action.
Thanks for the help komrads!
Im also thinking of following Komrad Malloski's advise in installing a Mosfet switch.. if budget permits
